child when the appliance is in Baby
Monitor mode. Press and hold the
button (12) and talk near the parent
unit microphone (16). When the talk
function is on, it is not possible to hear
sounds from the child unit on the par-

CAUTION: when using the ‘Talk’ func-
tion, avoid talking too close to the par-
ent unit microphone (16) or the child
unit will receive very high intensity
sounds.
CAUTION: do not press the button
(12) when the two units are in the
same room or less than 3 metres apart
as this could cause noises or hissing.
Voice Activation function
In Baby Monitor mode, the parent
unit can operate in continuous trans-
mission mode or in voice activation
mode. The Voice Activation function
is activated from the internal par-

the threshold for voice activation set
by the manufacturer, the image of
the child is shown in real time on the
display (4) and the loudspeaker (6)
on the parent unit is activated. In the
presence of sounds with intensity lev-
els below this threshold, the display
(4) stops displaying the image of the
child and the speaker (6) is turned off.
When this function is set, the
icon is shown on the display. For details
