Installing and Removing a Power Supply
To replace a power supply, perform the following procedure. To complete this procedure, you need a
number 2 Phillips screwdriver or flat-blade screwdriver.
Step 1 Remove the cover. See “Opening and Closing the Chassis” section on page 5.
Step 2 Locate the power supply. See the “Locating Modules” section on page 7 for the location of the power
supply.
Step 3 Remove the one screw from the power supply as shown in Figure 12.

Slide and lift the power supply from the chassis and disconnect the power cable.
Step 5 Insert the replacement power supply.
Step 6 Tighten the securing screw.
Step 7 Replace the cover. See “Opening and Closing the Chassis” section on page 5.
Installing Power over Ethernet
The Power over Ethernet (PoE) must be installed before you turn on the power supply. Insertion of the
PoE power supply after boot up is not supported.
To install Power over Ethernet (PoE), follow these steps.
Step 1 Remove the cover. See “Opening and Closing the Chassis” section on page 5.
