WYRESTORM NETWORKHD
SWITCH CONFIGURATION GUIDE
NetworkHD uses the following smart features of your switch.
Multicast Video
With multicast video only one instance of the video stream is transmitted onto the network and the clients in turn grab a
copy of the video from the network. Multicast video always uses UDP at the Transport layer.
IGMP Snooping
IGMP snooping is the process of listening to Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) network trac. The feature
allows a network switch to listen in on the IGMP conversation between hosts and routers.
