With the exception of the Cisco WRP400 Wireless-G Broadband Router, these products are intended for
indoor use only.
Statement 372—Wireless LAN Products
Authorized External Antennas and Corresponding Power
Levels
Cisco’s 2.4-GHz wireless products have either integral antennas or external (dedicated) antennas.
This product is designed for use with the standard, integral or dedicated (external) antenna(s) that is/are
shipped together with the equipment. To compensate for alternative cable and antenna combinations, it
may be necessary to change the transmit power level. Combinations of extension cables and antennas
resulting in a radiated power level exceeding 100 mW EIRP are illegal.
Power Level Settings
For wireless adapters operating in the 2,4-GHz band, the typical radiated output power is 18 dBm EIRP,
while the maximum radiated output power will not exceed 20 dBm (100 mW) EIRP.
Use the Web-based Utility to configure its power output setting (refer to the product’s documentation
for more information).
Canadian Compliance Statement
The Cisco WRP400 Wireless-G Broadband Router is certified to the requirements of RSS-210 for
2.4-GHz and 5.0-GHz spread spectrum devices. The use of this device in a system operating either
partially or completely outdoors may require the user to obtain a license for the system according to the
Canadian regulations. For further information, contact your local Industry Canada office.
Warning
All wireless LAN products in the 5.2/5.3GHz band cannot be used outdoors. Use the product
only indoors.
