operationalduringthetripfollowingthe
firstenginestart.
Inthiscase,thesystemwillonlybe
availableagainafteracontinuous
periodofimmobilisationofthevehicle,
aperiodwhichdependsontheambient
temperatureandthestateofchargeof
thebattery(uptoabout8hours).
Itisrecommendedthatthebatterybe
disconnectedifthevehicleisnottobeused
foraverylongperiod,soastomaintainan
adequatestateofchargeforstartingthe
engine.
Beforedisconnectingthebattery:
F closeallopenings(doors,boot,windows,
roof),
F switchoffallelectricalconsumers(audio
system,wipers,lighting...),
F switchofftheignitionandthenwait
fourminutes.
Atthebattery,simplydetachthe(+)terminal.
Disconnecting the battery
Followingreconnectionofthebattery,switchon
theignitionandwait1minutebeforestartingto
permitinitialisationoftheelectronicsystems.
