AUTOMATIC eLeCTRIC PARKING BRAKe
- The parking brake button can be found in the centre behind the gear lever.
- The parking brake is automatically released when pulling away and automatically applied when the
engine is switched off.
- It can also be engaged/disengaged manually, by pulling the parking brake button (A).
(For more details please refer to pages 123 - 129 of the owners handbook).
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- When towing a caravan or stopping on a steep gradient, maximum application is obtained by a long
pull on the paddle (warning lamp P).
- Emergency disengagement can be achieved by using the strap in the central armrest (see reactivation
instructions in user manual)
- Dynamic emergency braking is possible by a continuous pull on the paddle (braking made safe by ABS/ESP).

- The Hill Start Assist function holds the vehicle on a gradient greater than 5%, for approximately 2
seconds (the time required to move from the brake pedal to the accelerator).
For the system to be activated, the vehicle must be at a standstill with the brake pedal depressed.
Do not get out of the vehicle while it is being held by the Hill Start Assist function.
(For more details please refer to page 130 of the owner’s handbook).
