Finding Your Optimum Speed
e Exerciser Elite® is suitable for use by those with various activity levels and
health concerns. Regardless of your age, performance level or health issues,
it is strongly recommended that all rst time users start out SLOW. As with
any type of exercise…more time or endurance is not necessarily better at the
beginning. Incorporating this machine into your daily routine is like starting
a new exercise program. If you overwork your body in the beginning you may
feel somewhat sore and fatigued. If for any reason you feel muscle soreness
or fatigue you may need to either reduce your speed or use time. Please keep
in mind, you can adjust the speed to your own liking. What works for one
person may not work for another.
Slowly working up to the preferred speed is extremely important in order
to receive the optimum benets. e Exerciser Elite® features two pre-
programmed settings; however, these settings are not for rst time users
and will be described, in more detail, later on. Clark Enterprises highly
recommends you follow the instructions below for the rst few days.
• First time users, who have health issues of any kind, should start with
the speed selector set on 1 or 2. For the rst couple of sessions set the
timer to either a 2 or 4 minute session.
• Healthy rst time users can start with the speed selector set on 1, 2
or 3. Set the timer to a 6 or 8 minute session.
• During the next few days, increase your speed one level at a time
until the desired speed is reached. Remember, a faster speed is not
necessarily better. We strongly recommend you use the speed that
feels best with your body.
• Speed 1 is an introductory speed. It is recommended that every user
work up to at least speed 2 to receive the optimum benets. Speeds 2
and 3 are the most common speeds used. Speeds 4 and 5 are for the
more advanced users who like more movement.
• Increase your time 2 or 4 minutes per session until your desired ses-
sion length is reached. Again, remember to listen to your body. Do
not increase your time per session, until you are comfortable with
the previous time.
When you feel comfortable with a particular use time and speed, you may
want to start working on your second daily session. For example, if you have
worked up to a six minute session on speed 2 in the morning and feel this is
comfortable for you, you may start working on your second session later in
the day. Follow the same instructions above when adding your third session.
At your discretion, you may work up to two or more sessions per day. Some
individuals work up to 3 or more sessions per day.
