Before using for thefirst time
1. Read theall safety warnings in this instruction manual.
2. Remove any protective film that may be on theceramic plate.
Compatible cookware
Note: Before starting to cook, first make sure that thecooking vessel is suitable for
use with aninduction hob.
Compatible cookware
• Suitable materials: steel, cast iron, stainless steel, cast iron or heat-resistant
ceramic cookware with alayer of magnetic induction material in thebottom.
• Suitable shape and size: Round, flat-bottomed vessels with diameters between
15 and 20cm.
• After thecookware has been used on theinduction hob for thefirst time, small
white spots might appear on thebottom. This is normal. Pour alittle vinegar into
thecookware and heat it up to 60–80 °C, then brush thespots off.
Incompatible cookware
• Unsuitable materials: Metals which do not contain iron such as aluminium and
copper; glass or ceramic which does not contain alayer of magnetic induction
material in thebottom. Cookware with bottoms constructed of layers of different
metals is not suitable for use with induction hobs.
• Incorrectly sized cookware: Cookware with abottom which is not round and which
is less than 15cm in diameter or larger than 20cm.
• If thewrong type of cookware is used: Theinduction hob hotplate will not heat up,
and “L” will flash on thedisplay. Thebeeper will sound for 60 seconds.
Operating instructions
• Pick asuitable location for using theinduction hob by referring to thesafety
instructions above.
• Make sure that theair vents are not blocked and that no unnecessary items are
placed on top of thehob.
• Make sure that thecookware is placed inside themarked cooking zone (9) and
that it contains food or liquid.
• Check that theinduction hob is turned off before connecting theplug to awall socket.
• Always make sure there are no foreign objects such as water or food spills on
thehotplate before turning it on.
• If thetimer function is not used, theinduction hob will automatically switch off
after 2 hours.
