Safety
Note: Thealarm emits anextremely loud signal; ear protection
should be worn during familiarisation exercises and tests in order to
prevent hearing damage.
• The product is only intended for indoor use. Donot expose it
tomoisture.
• Prolonged exposure to thealarm signal can damage your hearing.
• Do not subject thealarm unit to heavy impacts.

Pairing thealarm unit and remote control
1. Open thebattery compartment by unscrewing theretaining
screw (4) and sliding thecover down. Insert3×AA/LR6
batteries. Note:Follow thepolarity markings on thebottom of
thebattery compartment. TheLED setting indicator (2) will flash
when thebatteries have been inserted correctly.
2. Press [ LEARN ], immediately point theremote control at thefront
of thealarm unit and press [ ARM ]. Thealarm will emit ashort
signal and theLED indicator will stop flashing to confirm that
theremote has been paired with thealarmunit.
3. Refit thebattery cover and secure it with theretaining screw.
Installation
The alarm unit has adetection range of 6 m straight ahead. Ithas
ahorizontal detection angle of approximately 110º and avertical
detection angle of approximately 70º.
Chimemode
The chime mode is used to notify you when motion is detected in
thedetection zone.
1. Set theChime/Alarm switch on remote control toChime.
2. Point theremote control at thealarm unit and press [ ARM ].
Thechime will sound immediately and from then on whenever
motion is detected.
3. The chime mode can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on
theremote control.
Panic feature
The alarm can be set off without theneed for motion to have
beendetected.
1. Point theremote control at thealarm unit and hold in both
the[ ARM ] and [ DISARM ] together for two seconds.
2. The panic feature can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on
theremote control.
Testing themotion detector
Testing theoperation of themotion detector using theremote control in
thealarm mode is best avoided due to thehigh volume. Procedure:
1. Set theChime/Alarm switch on remote control toChime.
2. Point theremote control at thealarm unit and press [ ARM ].
Thechime will soundonce.
3. Wait for 15 seconds and then wave your hand in front of
themotion detector. Ifthechime sounds, thedetector is
operating correctly.
4. The alarm unit can now be set to thealarm mode if desired,
asdescribed in theAlarm mode section above.
Care and maintenance
• Clean theproduct using alightly moistened cloth. Onlyuse mild
detergents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Remove all thebatteries if theproduct is not to be used for
alongtime.
• Never mix old and new batteries. Changeall batteries at
thesametime.
Troubleshooting guide
The
remote
control
doesn’t
work.
• The battery is flat. Replace thebattery (CR2032).
• Make sure that thebattery is correctly fitted.

• Point theremote control directly at thealarm unit
and make sure that nothing is between them.
• The units have not been paired. Referto thesection

The alarm
unit is not
working.
• The batteries are flat. Replace with new ones
(3×AA/LR6).
• Make sure that thebatteries are correctly fitted.

False
alarms are
triggered.
• The alarm unit is poorly positioned (eg in direct
sunlight, in adraught or above aradiator or
other source of heat).

7. LED indicator which flashes when the[ ARM ] or [ DISARM ]
are pressed. Note: TheLED indicator will flash slowly when
thebattery in theremote control begins to lose its charge.

The remote control has afactory-fitted battery. Openthebattery
compartment and remove theplastic foil tab from thebattery
terminal to activate theremote control.

1. Wall mounting: Attachthewall bracket to thewall using thetwo
provided screws and wall plugs depending on thesupporting
material. Therecommended installation height is 1.8–2.4m.
Note: Becareful to avoid concealed electrical wiring and water
pipes when drilling or screwing into thewall.
2. Grip thearm of thebracket and attach thealarm unit to it.
Slidethealarm unit into thebracket attachment until it clicks
intoplace.
Operation
Alarmmode
1. Set theChime/Alarm switch on remote control toAlarm.
2. Point theremote control at thealarm unit and press [ ARM ].
Thealarm unit will emit ashort signal and theLED indicator
light will flash. Therewill now be a45-second delay before
theunit is armed. Thedelay gives you time to move out of
thedetectionzone.
3. When motion is detected, thealarm unit will emit ashort
signal and thered LED indicator (3) will flash. Therewill now
be a30-second delay before thealarm sounds. Thesignal
will sound for 30 seconds and then turn off. After15seconds
thealarm will be armed again and if any motion is detected
thealarm cycle will repeat until [ DISARM ] on theremote control
is pressed.
4. The alarm mode can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on
theremote control.
