How to fix a CleaverBrooks Burner that does not start?
    • C
      Christopher LopezAug 4, 2025
If the CleaverBrooks Burner does not start, begin by checking if the main disconnect switch is open and close it. Then, inspect the control circuit fuse and replace it if it's blown. Also, verify all electrical connections are secure. Ensure that the program relay safety switch has been reset. Check that the limit circuit is completed, and that the fuel pressure is within the settings of the low and high pressure switches. Confirm the burner air proving switch and high fire limit switch are functional. For heavy oil fired units, check that the oil temperature meets the minimum settings. Finally, ensure the fuel valve auxiliary switch is closed.

What to do if CleaverBrooks ProFire D Burner shuts down during firing?
    • J
      Jamie MartinezAug 8, 2025
If the CleaverBrooks Burner shuts down during firing, first restore the fuel supply if there has been a loss or stoppage. Then, check the fuel valve for defects and ensure electrical connections are secure. Inspect the flame detector and replace if weak or defective. Clean the scanner lens and sight tube. If the programmer lockout switch hasn't tripped, check the limit circuit for an opened safety control. Adjust the air/fuel ratio settings if there's a lean fire. Test and replace any inoperative or defective interlock devices. Finally, bleed the oil lines if there is air present.

Why is there no ignition in my CleaverBrooks ProFire D Burner?
    • G
      gcastilloAug 13, 2025
If the CleaverBrooks Burner has no ignition, inspect the ignition system for grounding or cracked porcelain. Adjust the electrode to the correct setting. Tighten any loose terminals on the ignition cable or replace a shorted cable. Replace the ignition transformer if it's inoperative. Check and restore voltage to the pilot ignition circuit terminal. If there's a spark but no flame, ensure the fuel supply is adequate and valves are open. Inspect and correct the damper motor operation if the low fire switch is open in the low fire proving circuit. Check the combustion or atomizing air proving switches to make sure that the running interlock circuit is completed.

What to do if CleaverBrooks Burner has pilot flame, but no main flame?
    • L
      Lauren ClarkAug 18, 2025
If the CleaverBrooks Burner has a pilot flame but no main flame, adjust the pilot flame to sufficient levels. Ensure the manual gas cock is open. Repair or replace the main gas valve if it's inoperative. Also, repair or replace the gas pressure regulator if it's not working. Investigate any obstructions or issues with the fuel supply. Clean the sight tube and lens or replace the flame detector if it's defective. Finally, restore voltage to the main fuel valve circuit terminal.

    Ernest ShieldsAug 23, 2025
Why does my CleaverBrooks Burner stay in low fire?
    • T
      Taylor FaulknerAug 23, 2025
If the CleaverBrooks Burner stays in low fire, adjust the pressure or temperature settings, then correct the position of the manual-automatic switch. If the modulating motor is inoperative, replace or repair it. Repair or replace the modulating control if it is defective. Finally, tighten or repair any binding components.

    Christina HudsonAug 28, 2025
How to troubleshoot a CleaverBrooks Burner modulating motor that does not operate?
    • C
      Cheyenne SchroederAug 28, 2025
If the modulating motor of the CleaverBrooks Burner does not operate, ensure the manual/automatic switch is in the correct position. Fix any loose or jammed linkage. Test and replace the motor if it doesn't drive to open or close during pre-purge or close on burner shutdown. Inspect the manual/automatic switch and control settings if the motor doesn't operate on demand.
