To adjust the gap between the cylinder and the bottom blade, wearing safety gloves:
1. Loosen the bolt on both sides of mower. Refer to red circles on Fig. 32 & Fig. 35.
2. Loosen nuts on the bottom of the adjustment screw. Refer to red circle on Fig. 33 & Fig. 36.
3. Turn the adjustment screw on both sides, so the cylinder blade to make contact with the
bottom blade. The blade must only ‘just’ make contact, whilst still allowing it to rotate freely. Refer
to red circles Fig. 34 & Fig. 37.
4. Re-tight nuts. Fig. 33 & Fig. 36.
5. Re-tighten bolts. Fig. 32 & Fig. 35.
6. Test the cutting action with paper as previously described. Should the paper not cut
satisfactorily, the cylinder may need to be sharpened. Contact your local Cobra dealer.
