FIRMWARE UPGRADE
IMPORTANT: Make sure your palyer has been fully charged before upgrading your
firmware. Do not disconnect your player from the computer or otherwise interrupt the
upgrade process - doing so could damage your player and render it inoperable.
Firmware updates may be found on the COBY Electronics website at www.cobyusa.com. Check
this site periodically for new updates. Firmware updates may add new functionality to your
player.
You need to install the Firmwar software (MP3 Player Product Tool) from the supplied instalaltion
CD rst.
You must set the Online Device option to USB Disk in the SETTINGS menu.
To upgrade your player's rmware:
Download the latest rmware for your palyer from www.cobyusa.com. Save this le to the
comoputer.
Connect your player to the computer (see the "Connect to a Computer" section for details.)
Run the rmware program. (ie, Click "Start" > "Programs" > "MP3 Player Product Tool 4.22"
> "Product Tool")
The updater will commence searching for your connected player. When it has detected your
player, the rmware update screen will appear (see gure at the below).
Click "Start' to begin the rmware update. Do NOT disconnect your player while it is
updating.
The update is complete when the status bar has been lled. Click "Close".
Disconnect your player from the computer.
