AIMING AND TURNING ON/OFF THE SPIKE LIGHT

IMPORTANT: Do not force the spike

into the ground and so not attempt to

hammer the spike into the ground

Ensure the power is off. Loosen the light

and adjustment screw (C) on the side of

the light and tilt the fixture up or down.

Tighten the adjustment screw (C). Restore

power. Repeat this step until the desired

angle is achieved.

To turn the light on, insert the plug into a

GFCI outlet. To turn the light off, remove

the plug from the outlet.

• This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the

risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the

outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an

extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

Warning: When using this outdoor portable luminaire, basic safety precaution should always

Installation:

Placing the Spike Light:
- Hold the light by the base of the spike and gently push the spike into the ground.
- The flat base of the spike should be at ground level when finished, and the spike should be vertical.
- In rocky or hard ground, dig a small shovel to dig up rocks and loosen the soil. Then, push the spike in the ground and pack the dirt in and around it to secure it.
- Important: Do not force the spike into the ground. Use a small shovel to hammer the spike into the ground if necessary.
Connecting to Power Source:
- Plug the power cord (B) into a grounded and GFCI-protected two-prong extension cord or the wall outlet. The diagram shows a standard two-prong plug connecting to an extension cord or wall outlet.
Aiming and Turning On/Off the Spike Light:
- Ensure the power is off.
- Loosen the light and adjustment screw (C) on the side of the light and the fixture up or down.
- Tighten the adjustment screw (C). Restore power.
