1. Verifythatthepumpsizetstheapplicationwithoutdramaticallyrestrictingtheow.
Consultyourlocaldealerormanufacturer’sguidelinesforthepropersizeandmodelof
ViaAqua®pump.
2. Donotreducetheinputdiameterofthepump
3. Youmustincorporateapre-lterwhenoperationforawatercirculation,waterfalls,ponds
andfountains.
4. Replacetheimpellerifthereareanysignsofdamageorexcesswear.
5. FailuretomaintainaViaAqua®pumpwillcausepermanentdamagetotheimpellerand/or
pump.Routinemaintenanceisoftheutmostimportancetokeepyoupumpworkingwell.
SUBMERSED
1. Placepumpinthedesiredlocation
2. Ifplaceinapond:Raisethepumpoffthebottomofthepondbyamin.of6incheswhen
installing.
3. UseTeontapetoconnectthethreadedpipeadaptertotheoutputofthepump.
4. Placethegasketontothebarbedpipeadapter,nowusingTeontapehandtightenthe
barbedpipeadaptertothethreadedpipetheadapter.
5. Connecttheexibletubingtothebarbedpipeadapter.Insurewatertightnesswithahose
clamp.
EXTERNAL
1. Placethepumpindesiredlocation
2. UsingTeontapeconnectthethreadedpipeadaptertotheintakeandoutputofthehydrant
waterpump.
3. Placeagasketonthebarbedpipeadapter,nowusingTeontapehandtightenthebarbed
pipeadaptertothethreadedpipetheadapter.
4. Connecttheexibletubingtothebarbedpipeadapter.Insurewatertightnesswithahose
clamp.
5. Verifythattherearenotanykinksinthetubing
6. Theintakemusthaveanadequatestrainer.Dotothewaterowofthepumpalarge
strainerisrequired.
NOTE
* Sincetherearemanymanufacturesofltrationsystems,pleaserefertothe
manufacturesinstructionsforinstallationandguidelines.
* Duetothedesignofwetanddryltrationsystemsandsumpsthereisahighamountof
evaporation.Therefore,it’stheAquarist’ssoleresponsibilitytoinsureaproperwaterlevel
thusinsuringthepumpisfullysubmersedatalltimes.
