select

disk
icon
that
appears
on
the
Workbench.
then
choose
Initialize
from
the
Disk
menu.
Two
warnings:
Initializing
a
disk
destroys
any
previous
information
stored
on
a
disk.
Before
a
disk
is
completely
initialized.
the
disk
drive
light
will go
out.
then.
after
a
brief
period-from
one
to
ten
seconds-it
will go
on
again.
Wait
for
the
light
to
go
out
a
second
time
before
removing
the
disk.
Failure
to
do
so
may
ruin
the
disk.
Duplicating
Disks
To
duplicate
a
disk.
select
the
icon
for
the
disk.
then
choose
Duplicate
from
the
Workbench
menu.
Note
that
when
you
choose
Duplicate.
the
Amiga
makes
use
of only
one
disk
drive
even
if
there
are
two or
more
drives.
Copying
Disks
To
copy
a
disk.
drag
its
icon
over
the
icon
for a
disk
that
will
receive
the
copy.
If
you
have
more
than
one
disk
drive. a
requester
will
ask
you
to
insert
the
disk
you
want
to
copy
(the
source
disk)
into
one
of
the
drives.
and
the
disk
to receive
the
copy
(the
destination
disk)
into
another.
(Note
that
"drive
0"
referred
to
in
the
requester
is
the
internal
drive.
"Drive
1"
is
the
external
drive.)
Two
warnings:
Copying
a
disk
destroys
any
previous
information
stored
on
the
disk
that
receives
the
copy.
If.
when
you
copy
a
disk.
you
insert
the
destination
disk
in
place
of
the
source
disk.
you
will
not
get
a
message
telling
you
that
you've
inserted
the
wrong
disk.
Be
sure
to
insert
the
correct
disk.
