Debug
Debug
may
be
started
two
ways.
By
the
first
method,
you
type
all
commands
in
response
to
the
debug
prompt
(a
hyphen).
By
the
second
method,
you
type
all
commands
on
the
line
used
to
start
debug.

To
start
debug
using
method
1,
simply
type
the
following:
debug
Debug
responds
with
the
hyphen
(-)
prompt,
signaling
that
it
is
ready
to
accept
your
commands.
Since
you
didn't
specify
a
file
name,
you
can
use
other
commands
to
work
on
current
memory,
disk
sectors,
or
disk
files.
Warnings
When
debug
(version
2.0)
is
started,
it
sets
up
a
program
header
at
offset
0
in
the
program
work
area.
In
previous
ver
sions
of
debug,
you
could
overwrite
this
header.
You
can
still
overwrite
the
default
header
if
you
don't
give a
filename
to
debug.
If
you
are
debugging
a
.com
or
.exe
file,
however,
do
not
tamper
with
the
program
header
below
address
5CH,
or
debug
will
terminate.
Do
not
restart
a
program
after
the
following
message
is
displayed:
Program
terminated
normally
You
must
reload
the
program
with
the
N
(name)
and
L
(load)
commands
for
it
to
run
properly.
