Troubleshooting
Engine Loses Power Low crankcase oil level. Add engine oil.
High crankcase oil level. Drain engine oil and replace
with proper quantity.
Dirty air cleaner element. Clean air filter separator tube.
Clean both air filter elements.
Replace both air filter
elements.
Dirt or water in the fuel
system.
Drain fuel system and
replace with fresh, clean fuel.
Excessive engine load. Reduce engine load.
Engine overheated. Clean cooling fins and
remove any debris from
around engine.
Faulty spark plugs. Replace spark plugs.
Low compression. See engine manual.
Exhaust restriction. Clean spark arrestor.
