Perform preparation procedures

Remove the hood
3
Remove the fax/modem and any
other optional cards.
CAUTION: Remove the
fax/modem before removing
the system board bracket, or
the system board may be
damaged.

Open the system board bracket
5
Remove the two screwlocks that
secure the serial port to the chassis
and pull the serial port cable
assembly out of the chassis
To replace the serial port, reverse this
procedure.
