Overview

This document provides screen mounting instructions for Condeco Connect meeting room screens, designed to be mounted on solid or partition walls.

Function Description

The Condeco Connect meeting room screen is a device used to display meeting room information. It is designed for easy installation and integration into various office environments. The screen can be connected to a network via a LAN cable and powered through a dedicated power cable. Once mounted and connected, it serves as an interactive display for managing meeting room bookings and schedules.

Important Technical Specifications

Physical Dimensions:

  • Screen: 247mm (width) x 183mm (height) x 36mm (depth).
  • Mounting Plate: 120mm x 214mm.

Mounting Options:

  • Wall Mount: The screen can be fixed to solid or partition walls using the supplied mounting plate and suitable fixings. The back plate has designated fixing points for secure attachment.
  • Glass Mount: For glass walls, a double-sided sticky pad (supplied with retail boxed products only) is used to attach the back plate to the glass. To conceal cabling and fixings, a manifestation can be fitted behind the device; these can be supplied as an extra on request, and wet application is recommended for self-applied manifestations.

Cable Entry Points:

  • The back plate features cable entry points on the top left, top right, and bottom center.
  • It is recommended to route power or network cables alongside or inside the doorframe, entering the mounting plate from the side.
  • Best practice suggests fitting the device on the side of the door where the handle is located.

Recommended Screen Height:

  • The final screen height should comply with local disability access requirements, such as the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Guidelines, which state that the highest point of interaction should not exceed 48 inches (1220mm).
  • A suitable height is typically 1150mm – 1170mm (approximately 45 inches) from the bottom of the device.

Connectivity:

  • Network: The device connects via a LAN cable to a network port on the rear of the screen.
  • Power: A power cable connects to a dedicated power input on the rear of the screen.

Usage Features

Installation Process:

  1. Determine Mounting Location and Height: Choose a suitable location on the wall or glass, considering cable routing and recommended screen height.
  2. Fix the Back Plate:
    • Wall Mount: Secure the back plate to the wall using screws at the designated fixing points.
    • Glass Mount: Attach the double-sided sticky pad to the back plate, then firmly press the back plate against the glass.
  3. Cable Connection:
    • Feed the LAN cable through the appropriate cable input hole in the back plate (available on both sides).
    • Connect the LAN cable to the network port and the power cable to the power input on the rear of the Condeco screen.
  4. Attach the Screen: Clip the screen onto the back plate.
  5. Secure the Screen: Screw the unit in place using the provided screws to prevent unauthorized removal.

Cable Management:

  • The design allows for flexible cable routing, with entry points strategically placed to facilitate clean installations, especially when cables run alongside doorframes.

Maintenance Features

Secure Mounting:

  • The use of screws to fix the screen to the back plate ensures that the unit cannot be easily removed, providing security and stability.

Accessibility:

  • The recommended screen height ensures compliance with disability access guidelines, making the device usable for a wider range of individuals.

Concealed Cabling (Glass Mount):

  • For glass installations, the option to fit a manifestation behind the device helps to hide cabling and fixings, contributing to a clean and professional aesthetic.
