the
drive
mode
dial
to

Focus
the
lens
on
your
subject
and
depress
the
shutter
release.
The
self-timer
will
start
and
trip
the
shutter
in
the
10
seconds.
While
the
self-timer
is
running,
the
self-timer
LED
in
the
camera
front
will
blink.

focus
mode
is
set
to
“SAF,”
focus
is
locked
at
the
instant
the
self-timer
begins
operating.
In
“CAF”
mode,
auto
focus
is
performed
continuously,
even
during
the
time
the
self-
timer
is
operating;
focus
is
set
at
the
instant
the
shutter
is
released.

To
shoot
with
the
self-timer,
mount
the
camera
on
a
tripod.

The
self-timer
cannot
be
used
when
the
camera
is
set
for
bulb
exposure
(“B”).

lf
the
shutter
release
is
depressed
while
the
self-timer
is
running,
the
counter
will
reset
itself
and
the
self-timer
will
trip
the
shutter
in
the
10
seconds.

To
stop
the
self-timer
operation
after
it
has
begun,
set
the
main
switch
to
OFF,
or
turn
the
drive
mode
dial
to
another
mode
position.
