the hot viewing glass is provided with this appliance
and shall be installed for the protection of children
and other at-risk individuals.
This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket,
permanently located, manufactured home (USA
only) or mobile home, where not prohibited by
local codes.
This appliance is only for use with the type of gas
indicated on the rating plate. This appliance is
not convertible for use with other gases, unless a
certi ed kit is used.

      If the gas piping is undersized for your Continental Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace, turn on all gas appliances and see if the pilot flame flutters, diminishes, or extinguishes, especially when the main burner ignites. Monitor the appliance supply working pressure. Also, check if the supply piping size is up to code and correct any undersized piping.

      If carbon is accumulating on the glass, logs, rocks, media, or combustion chamber surfaces, check the pressure readings. Inlet pressure can be checked by turning screw (A) counter-clockwise 2 or 3 turns and then placing pressure gauge tubing over the test point. The gauge should read as described on the chart. Ensure the main burner is operating on ‘HI’. Outlet pressure can be checked the same way using screw (B). The gauge should read as described on the chart. Ensure the main burner is operating on ‘HI’. After taking pressure readings, be sure to turn screws clockwise firmly to reseal, but do not over torque.

      If the flame is hitting the glass, logs, rocks, media, or combustion chamber, first ensure the media is positioned correctly within the appliance. Try opening the air shutter to increase the primary air. Check the input rate by verifying the manifold pressure and orifice size as specified on the rating plate. Make sure the door gasketing is intact and the seal is tight. Verify vent liners are free of holes and well-sealed at all joints. Ensure the minimum rise per foot (meters) has been adhered to for any horizontal venting.

In very cold conditions, ice buildup may occur on the terminal, which should be removed as needed. To prevent this in the future, it's recommended that vent lengths passing through unheated spaces (attics, garages, crawl spaces) be wrapped with an insulated mylar sleeve.
