Overview

This document is the user manual for the COOKOLOGY Built-in Electric Oven, model COF600SS. It provides essential information regarding the appliance's operation, safety, installation, and maintenance.

Function Description

The COOKOLOGY COF600SS is a built-in electric oven designed for various cooking functions. It features a control panel with three main knobs: a Function Knob, a Timer Knob, and a Temperature Knob. The oven automatically starts cooking once the function, time, and temperature are set. When not in use, all knobs should be set to "0".

The oven offers several cooking functions:

  • Oven Lamp: Illuminates the oven cavity, allowing users to observe cooking progress without opening the door. This function is active for all cooking modes except the ECO function.
  • Defrost: Circulates room temperature air to quickly thaw frozen food without heat. This is suitable for speeding up defrosting time for frozen items, ready-made dishes, and cream-filled products.
  • Convection: Utilizes a rear heater and fan to distribute warm air evenly and rapidly throughout the oven. This results in faster and more economical cooking, allowing multiple dishes to be cooked simultaneously on different shelves.
  • Grill-small: A normal grilling method that uses only the inner part of the top heating element to direct heat downwards onto the food.
  • Grill with fan (at the rear panel): Combines top heating with fan assistance.
  • ECO: An energy-saving cooking mode where heat is supplied from the back heater for gentle cooking of selected ingredients.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Bulb Type: The oven lamp requires a 25-40W/220V-240V, T300°C halogen lamp for replacement.
  • Ventilation: The oven includes ventilating openings. If the temperature of these openings exceeds 70°C after cooking, the cooling fan will continue to operate until the temperature drops below 60°C.
  • Installation Dimensions:
    • Oven: Width (G) 560mm, Depth (C) 575mm, Height (A) 595mm, Base Width (B) 595mm.

Usage Features

  • Timer Control:
    • If no specific cooking time is needed, turning the Timer Knob counter-clockwise to the "1" position will keep the oven continuously powered on.
    • To set a specific cooking time, turn the Timer Knob clockwise to the desired duration. The oven will automatically power off when the set time reaches "0", accompanied by a "Ding, Ding, Ding" sound.
  • Temperature Control: The temperature is set by turning the Temperature Knob.
  • Shelf Placement: Correct placement of oven shelves between the side rails is crucial to ensure safe operation and prevent hot food items from sliding out during removal.
  • Accessories:
    • Wire Shelf: Suitable for grill dishes, cake pans, and items requiring roasting and grilling.
    • Universal Pan: Designed for cooking large quantities of food such as moist cakes, pastries, frozen food, or for collecting fat/spillage and meat juices.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Always disconnect power before any maintenance or cleaning.
    • Set all controls to the OFF position.
    • Wait until the oven interior is slightly warm (not hot) for easier cleaning.
    • Clean surfaces with a damp cloth, soft brush, or fine sponge, then wipe dry.
    • For heavy soiling, use hot water with a non-abrasive cleaning product.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers on the oven door glass, as this can scratch the surface and lead to shattering.
    • Never leave acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar) on stainless steel parts.
    • Do not use a high-pressure cleaner.
    • Baking pans can be washed with mild detergent.
  • Bulb Replacement:
    • Disconnect power.
