If your cooktop suddenly stops heating, ensure proper voltage/power levels and that the cooktop isn't sharing a circuit with other devices. Also, check the air vents to ensure they are not blocked and that there is sufficient airflow around the appliance. If an empty pan is left on the cooktop surface while the unit is working at full power, the safety shut-off will engage. In this case, remove the pan and wait 15-20 minutes for the unit to reset.
