Range Hood Cabinet Cutout
1. Determ
ine and clearly mark the centerlines on the underside of the
cabinet.
2. Measu
re and mark lines for the cutout area as shown.
3. Drill
a hole at each corner within the cutout area, and use a saber saw or
keyhole saw to cut an opening through the underside of the cabinet.
4. Comple
te cabinet preparation following the instructions for your type of
installation.
Venting Outside Through the Roof/Wall
Assemble the duct that you will use over the duct opening. Do not attach
the duct at this time. Depending on your duct system, measure and mark
the cabinet cutout accordingly. Use a saber saw or keyhole saw to cut a
round opening through the top of the cabinet and the roof for the roof
vent or the back of the cabinet and the exterior wall for the wall vent.
