  Poor performance in your Cosmo Ventilation Hood can stem from several factors. It could be due to an excessive distance between the hood and the cooktop; optimal distance is 24” to 36”. Another reason might be too many open windows or doors, which you can resolve by closing some of them. Worn motor can cause the issue, in this case replace the motor. Also, verify that the tape holding down the damper flaps at the vent hole was removed before use.
