9. Pulltherightsideof thebelt,andplacethenarrowVsideof thebeltintothe
PT0pulley.
10. Whileholdingthebeltandpulleytogether,rotatethe pulleytotheleft.
Continueholdingandrotatingthepulleyandbeltuntil thebeltisfully rolled
intothePT0pulley.

anddisengagesafely.Asubstitute(non-0EM)V-beltcanbedangerousbynot
disengagingcompletely.Foraproperworkingmachine,useidenticalequipment

Tochangeor replacethedeckbeltonyourtractor,proceedasfollows:
Removethedeckasinstructedearlierinthissection.
1. Removethebeltcoversfromthespindlepulleysbyremovingthehexscrews
thatfastenthecoversto thedeck.SeeFigure21.
2. It mayalsobenecessaryto loosenthehexnutontheleft deckidlerpulleyto
getthebeltoffthe pulleyandaroundthebeltguard.
3. Carefullyremovethedeckbeltfromaroundthetwo spindlepulleysandthe
two deckidlerpulleys.SeeFigure21.
4. Toplacethenewbelt,beginbyroutingthebeltaroundthetwo outerspindle
pulleysasshowninFigure21.
5. Thenroutethebeltaroundthetwo deckidlerpulleysasshowninFigure21.
6. Retightenthebeltkeeperrodloosenedearlier.
ParkingBrakeAdjustment
Neverattempt to adjustthe brakeswhilethe engineisrunning.Always
[disengagePTO(BladeEngageLever),moveshift leverintoneutralposition,
[stopengineand removekeyto preventunintendedstarting.
Ifthetractordoesnotcometo acompletestopwhentheclutch-brakepedalis
completelydepressed,orifthetractor'srearwheelscanroll with theparkingbrake
applied,thebrakeisinneedofadjustment.ContactthenearestParts& Repair

NOTE:Several components must be removed and special tools (i.e. air/
impact wrench) in order to change the tractor's drive belt. Contact the
