Why won't my Craftsman Trimmer engine start?

There are several reasons why your Craftsman Trimmer engine might not start: * The fuel tank may be empty: Fill the fuel tank with properly mixed fuel. * The primer bulb may not have been pressed enough: Press the primer bulb 10 times or until fuel is visible. * The engine may be flooded: Move the choke lever to Position 3, squeeze the throttle control, and pull the starter rope. * The fuel may be old (over 30 days) or improperly mixed: Drain the fuel tank and add fresh, properly mixed fuel. * The spark plug may be fouled: Replace the spark plug.
