Use these lines
as
a
guide
for adjust-
ment. The
housing
must
be set
parallel
to the floor.
This is
critical for
safety and
straight undercutting.
The maximum height
adjustment is 1".
r
Securely
tighten
the
nuts
before use.
DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
r
Depth adjuster
accurately
controls depth
of cut
for
ei-
ther
straight-on
(figure
5) or
a
45"
angle
(figure
6).
r To adjust, loosen the three-
arm knob
on
the
depth
gauge
and move the depth
gauge
in
and out as required.
r
A
depth
gauge
adjustment
scale
is
provided
just
behind
the knob with twelvel/a" in-
crements
(figure
7).
r
Re-tighten the three-arm
knob firmly
before use.
r
We recommend that
you
set
the depth of cut to no more
lhan
1/2"
to minimize
the
chance of
hitting
wall studs,
nails, etc.
r
Remove the
depth
gauge
when
cutting
inside
corners.
USING
THE
SAW:
r
Make sure the
blade clamp
nut and handle
screws are
tightened securely.
r
Always keep the handle in the
vertical
position
for
general
undercutting.
r
Turn the handle
away from
the toe kick for
undercutting
toe spaces
(see
figure
8).
r
Plug-in the saw
and
grasp
handle firmly. Depress the
safety
lock
button, then
pull
the
power
switch.
