Once the needle is reseated. Please check that the needle is sitting correctly. Look at the
needle part of the cartridge, you will see a small blue or black part that looks like a W
shaped holder. If the needle is leaning to the left or right of this and not centred in between
please delicately with the lightest of touches realign it so the needle sits back into the
groove and that it is sitting between the W shaped points.
Step 4: Reattach the belt.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLwyop5CTxY
If you are unable to access to video above, use steps below:
A) Remove the felt cover and locate the C-shaped clip at the base of centre spindle.
Please remove this by inserting the corner of regular sized flat head screwdriver & gently
leveraging the C-clip outward away from spindle to detach.
B) Lift the platter off & turn the platter upside down. Please be aware when you do this
step the belt will come off as soon as you do this. This is normal. On the underside of the
platter you should be able to see 2 small posts around the outer edge of the platter. Pull
the belt over the centre ring. Once the belt is resting around the centre ring, please grab
the belt whilst it is around the centre ring and pull it over 1 of these posts so it roughly
forms a tear drop shape.
C) Locate the brass spindle that the belt catches on. Place the platter back on ensuring
that the brass spindle is inside the tear drop shape formed by the belt. Rotate the platter
counter clockwise until you hear the belt snaps into place. If platter resists turning, redo
steps B & C.
D) Test belt by gently spinning platter. If it slows down after 1-2 rotations then it's attached.
E) Place C-Clip back on the centre spindle, use screwdriver to push c-clip back onto the
spindle.
*** If your unit is a 1975T please follow the additional step below. If not please move
on directly to Step 6 ***
Step 5: For 1975T owners, please ensure this step is completed.
Locate the turntable suspension screw, it’s the large silver screw that is next to the arm on
top of the unit.
WARNING: DO NOT TURN THIS SCREW DOWN TIGHTLY
This screw is designed to be finely adjusted to balance the platter.
