Why is my CSI Twin using so much salt?
    • D
      diana09Jul 28, 2025
High salt usage in your CSI Water Dispenser can be due to several reasons. Check if the brine tank refill time is set too high and lower it. Also, a plumbing leak, such as a toilet tank, can cause constant flow through the unit. Another reason may be too frequent regeneration. In this case, lower the hardness setting or increase the days between regenerations.

What to do if my CSI Water Dispenser has excessive water in the brine tank and/or salty water to service?
    • R
      Ricky EllisAug 1, 2025
If your CSI Water Dispenser has excessive water in the brine tank or salty water to service, it could be due to a plugged drain line. Check the flow to the drain and clean the drain line flow control button. It may also be caused by a dirty or damaged brine valve, so clean or replace the brine valve. Another possible cause is a plugged injector or screen; clean or replace the injector screen. Low inlet pressure, less than 20 psi, can also cause this issue, so increase the pressure. Finally, excessive brine refill cycle time can be the reason, so lower the brine refill time.

What to do if my CSI Water Dispenser softener fails to regenerate automatically?
    • S
      Shelby MooreAug 6, 2025
If your CSI Water Dispenser softener isn't regenerating automatically, ensure it's connected to a constant power source. Check and reconnect the meter cable if it's disconnected. Also, verify and reset the control valve programming if it's incorrect. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the power supply might be defective and require replacement. The meter could also be dirty or defective, requiring cleaning or replacement. Finally, a defective drive motor can cause this issue, and it would need to be replaced.

Why is there a continuous flow to drain in my CSI Twin Water Dispenser?
    • D
      Donna RoblesAug 10, 2025
A continuous flow to the drain in your CSI Water Dispenser can be caused by foreign material in the control piston and seals. Also, it may be caused by an internal control leak or the valve being jammed in the backwash, brine, or rapid rinse position. A stopped or jammed motor can also cause this; check for a jammed piston and replace it and the seals. If the motor is unresponsive, replace it.

Why is my CSI Water Dispenser softener failing to use salt?
    • S
      Sylvia GatesAug 14, 2025
If your CSI Water Dispenser softener fails to use salt, start by checking and resetting the control valve programming. A plugged or restricted drain line can also be the cause, so clean the drain line and/or flow control button. Additionally, inspect the injector and screen for blockages and clean or replace them as needed. Ensure there is water in the brine tank and check for restrictions in the DLFC, make sure the safety float is not stuck, and inspect the brine tank for leaks. The water pressure must be at least 20 psi. Finally, check brine line connections for air leaks.

What causes loss of water pressure in my CSI Twin?
    • G
      George TylerAug 19, 2025
Loss of water pressure in your CSI Water Dispenser can occur due to scaling or fouling of the inlet pipe, so clean or replace the pipeline and pretreat to prevent recurrence. Fouled resin can also cause this issue; clean the resin and pretreat to prevent future fouling. Lastly, an improper backwash setting can be the culprit, so backwash more frequently.

What causes loss of capacity in CSI Twin Water Dispenser?
    • Z
      zgomezAug 23, 2025
Loss of capacity in your CSI Water Dispenser can be due to increased raw water hardness; increase the hardness setting or decrease the days between regeneration. Maintain brine concentration and quantity by keeping the brine tank full of salt and cleaning it yearly, ensuring the refill water is over the salt grid plate if one is used.
