Why is my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser using so much salt?
    • A
      Angela TorresAug 18, 2025
High salt usage in your CSI Water Dispenser can be caused by several factors. Check the brine tank refill time, as a high salt setting can lead to excessive usage; try lowering it. Constant water flow through the unit, possibly due to a plumbing leak like a toilet tank, can also increase salt consumption. Additionally, regenerating too frequently will cause high salt usage, so consider lowering the hardness setting or increasing the days between regeneration.

What to do if my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser has a loss of capacity?
    • T
      Tracy SmithAug 20, 2025
A loss of capacity in your CSI Water Dispenser may stem from several causes. Increased raw water hardness might be the issue; try increasing the hardness setting or decreasing the days between regeneration. Ensure the brine tank is always full of salt and cleaned yearly, checking for salt bridges. For issues like resin fouling, poor distribution, internal valve leaks, resin age, or resin loss, it is recommended to call a dealer.

How to fix a CSI CM32 that fails to regenerate automatically?
    • P
      Pamela MarquezAug 23, 2025
If your CSI Water Dispenser isn't regenerating automatically, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the power supply is connected to a constant power source. Check the meter cable to make sure it is properly reconnected. It could also be due to improper control valve programming, so try resetting the program settings. Defective power supply or drive motor may require replacement. Finally, the meter might be dirty or defective, requiring cleaning or replacement.

Why is there a loss of water pressure in my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser?
    • M
      Mike LittleAug 26, 2025
A loss of water pressure in your CSI Water Dispenser can be due to a few reasons. Scaling or fouling of the inlet pipe could be restricting flow, so cleaning or replacing the pipeline and pretreating to prevent future issues is recommended. Fouled resin can also cause this issue, so cleaning the resin and pretreating to prevent it is advised. Also, check the backwash setting and ensure you are backwashing frequently enough.

Why does my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser regenerate at the wrong time?
    • W
      wanda99Aug 28, 2025
Regeneration occurring at the wrong time in your CSI Water Dispenser can be attributed to a couple of reasons. If there was a power failure, the time of day might be improperly set, so reset the time of day programming and consider installing a 9-volt battery. Alternatively, the regeneration time itself may be programmed incorrectly; in this case, reset the regeneration time programming.

Why is my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser softener not regenerating automatically?
    • G
      Gabriel BuchananAug 30, 2025
Your CSI Water Dispenser softener may fail to regenerate automatically due to several reasons. It could be connected to an intermittent power source; in this case, connect it to a constant power source. The meter cable might be disconnected, requiring reconnection. Improper control valve programming necessitates resetting the program settings. A defective power supply or meter assembly may need replacement or cleaning, respectively. Finally, a defective drive motor would also require replacement.

How to reduce high salt usage in my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser?
    • D
      Donna SmithSep 2, 2025
To reduce high salt usage in your CSI Water Dispenser, consider the following: you might have a high salt setting, in which case you should lower the brine tank refill time. Also, check for excessive water in the brine tank, which is covered in symptom #7. A constant flow through the unit, possibly due to a plumbing leak like a toilet tank, can also cause high salt usage. If the system is regenerating too frequently, lower the hardness setting or increase the days between regeneration.

What to do if there is excessive water in brine tank of CSI CM32 Water Dispenser?
    • S
      Sabrina ClaySep 4, 2025
If you observe excessive water in the brine tank or salty water being dispensed by your CSI Water Dispenser, the following could be the cause: a plugged drain line or drain line control, in which case you should check the flow to the drain and clean the drain line flow control button. It could also be due to a dirty or damaged brine valve, which requires cleaning or replacement. A plugged injector or screen also needs cleaning or replacement. Low inlet pressure should be increased to a minimum of 20 psi for proper injector performance, and an excessive brine refill cycle time should be lowered.

Why is my CSI CM32 Water Dispenser losing capacity?
    • L
      larry46Sep 6, 2025
Loss of capacity in your CSI Water Dispenser can stem from several factors. Increased raw water hardness requires increasing the hardness setting or decreasing the days between regeneration. Maintain brine concentration and quantity by keeping the brine tank full of salt and cleaning it yearly, ensuring the salt isn't bridged. For resin fouling, poor distribution, internal valve leak, resin age, or resin loss, you should contact your dealer.

What to do if my CSI CM32 softener fails to use salt?
    • K
      Kevin RobbinsSep 9, 2025
If your CSI Water Dispenser softener isn't using salt, it might be due to improper control valve programming, so check and reset the programming. A plugged or restricted drain line needs cleaning of the drain line and/or flow control button. Clean or replace a plugged injector and/or screen. If there's no water in the brine tank, check for restrictions in the BLFC, ensure the safety float isn't stuck, and check the brine tank for leaks. Ensure the line pressure is at least 20 psi if the water pressure is too low. Check brine line connections for air leaks if the brine line injects air during brine draw. For an internal control leak, contact your dealer to check the piston, seals, and spacers for scratches and dents.
