is
discovered
between
the
front
axle
and
the
pivot
bar
adjustment
bolt
heads,
adjust
both
bolts
as
follows:
(See
Figure
30.)
1.
Loosen
jam
nut
3
to
4
turns
or
as
required.
2.
Turn
pivot
bar
adjustment
bolt
counterclockwise
until
it
hits
against
the
front
axle.
3.
Tighten
jam
nut.
4.
Repeat
the
above
steps
for
the
other
pivot
bar
adjustment
bolt.

Air
cleaner
and
air
cleaner
cover
must
be
assembled
to
carburetor
when
running
engine.
WARNING
If
any
adjustments
are
made
to
the
engine
while
the
engine
is
running
(e.g.,
carbure¬
tor),
disengage
ail
clutches
and
blades.
Keep
clear
of
all
moving
parts
and
be
careful
of
heated
surfaces
and
muffler.
CARBURETOR
ADJUSTMENTS
NOTE
Carburetor
adjustments
should
be
made
only
after
the
engine
has
warmed
up.
The
carburetor
is
designed
to
deliver
the
correct
fuel-
to-air
mixture
to
the
engine
under
all
operating
condi¬
tions.
The
high
idle
is
set
at
the
factory
and
cannot
be
adjusted.
The
low
idle
fuel
adjusting
needle
is
also
set
at
the
factory
and
normally
does
not
need
adjustment.
Minor
carburetor
adjustment
may
be
required
to
com¬
pensate
for
differences
in
fuel,
temperature,
altitude
or
WARNING
To
avoid
injury
or
an
accident,
engage
single
pedal
brake
lock,
place
speed
control
lever
in
neutral
and
make
sure
equipment
is
disengaged
before
starting
engine
to
make
carburetor
adjustments.
A
WARNING
Carbon
monoxide
fumes
can
be
fatall
Do
not
make
any
adjustments
to
the
carburetor
in
a
confined
area
such
as
a
storage
build¬
ing.
Move
the
tractor
outside
into
the
air.
