SECTION 1: TRACTOR PREPARATION
Connect the Battery
Battery posts, terminals and
related accessories contain
lead and lead compounds.
Wash hands after handling.
The tractor is shipped with a sealed
battery. The positive battery cable has
been connected at the factory. The
negative cable must be connected.
Note: Make sure the ignition switch is
in the "OFF" position before attaching
the battery cables.
• Open the tractor hood and remove
the upper baffle of the bulkhead
from the front of the dash panel by
lifting upward on the locking tab on
each side of the baffle.
• Remove the protective cap from the
negative terminal of the battery.
• Connect the black battery cable to
the negative battery post. Slide
terminal cover over the connection
and reinstall the upper baffle.
