      If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine won't start, ensure the blade control is engaged. Check that the spark plug boot is connected. Refill the fuel tank with clean, fresh gasoline if it's empty or contains stale fuel. If your mower has a primer, prime the engine as instructed. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace the spark plug if it's faulty. Also, check for and clean any blockage in the fuel line. If the engine is flooded, wait a few minutes before attempting to restart it, and avoid priming it this time. If equipped, make sure the fuel valve is open and the engine is choked as directed in the engine manual. For electric start models, check and replace the fuse if it's burnt (refer to the Maintenance Section).

Inspect the fuel line for any blockages and replace stale fuel with clean, fresh gasoline. Make sure the vent in the gas cap isn't plugged; clear it if it is. Drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel if there's water or dirt in the fuel system. If the air cleaner is dirty, refer to the engine manual for cleaning instructions. Finally, if your mower has a choke, ensure it's in the “OFF” position during operation.
