How to fix Cub Cadet CC4025 Trimmer that will not start?
- MMichael BlankenshipAug 18, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Trimmer's engine won't start, several factors could be at play. Start by filling the fuel tank with fresh fuel. Ensure you're pressing the primer bulb fully and slowly 10 times. If the fuel is old, drain the tank and add new fuel. Inspect the spark plug; it may need cleaning or replacing. Check the spark arrestor for blockage and clean or replace it if necessary. Lastly, verify that the Cold Weather Start Lever is correctly positioned based on the outside temperature: CLOSED/START below 40°F and RUN/OPEN above 40°F.
