Maintenance and Adjustment of the UV
Standard compression pressure data
Compression pressure (at sea level)
Standard: 1,324 Kpa (188.31Psi)
Minimum: 1,150 Kpa (163.57 Psi)
Maximum: 1,480 Kpa (210.50 Psi)
·Above the maximum pressure:
Check the cylinder head, valve
surface, and piston crown for carbon
deposits.
·
Below the minimum pressure:
Check for accumulation carbon in the
cylinder head and accumulation
carbon on the piston head.
When the test is complete reinstall the
spark
plug and lower the cargo bed.
Checking the engine oil level
1.
Place the vehicle on a level surface.
2.
Remove the driver’s seat, passenger’s
seat, center console and heat shield.
3. Unscrew the dipstick and check the
oil level.
Oil level should be bet
ween the
Maximum ①and Minimum Level ②
on the dipstick.
If low, add oil to the proper level.
NOTE:
Do not screw the dipstick in when
checking the oil level, it is checked with
the dipstick sitting on the threads.
1.
Start the engine and let it warm up
for several minutes.
2.
Stop the engine, wait a couple
minutes for the oil to settle and
recheck the oil level.
Reinstall the console, passenger seat, and
driver’s seat.
Note:
Recommended oil classification:
API Service “SE”, “SF”, “SG” type or
equivalent.
