Why is my Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine running erratic?

If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine is running erratically, it could be due to several reasons: * A loose spark plug boot. Connect and tighten the spark plug boot. * A blocked fuel line or stale fuel. Clean the fuel line and fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * A plugged vent in the gas cap. Clear the vent. * Water or dirt in the fuel system. Drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel. * A dirty air cleaner. Refer to the engine manual. * The unit running with the CHOKE applied (if equipped). Push the CHOKE knob in.
