Install Discharge Chute & Deck Baffles
48” & 54” Fabricated Decks
Installing the Deck Baffle
Remove the deck as instructed in the tractor’s 1.
operator’s manual.
Install the appropriate deck baffle (for the 48” or 2.
54” deck) utilizing the holes already provided in the
mowing deck, as seen in Fig. 4-11, using four 710-0599
self-tapping hex bolts from hardware pack 689-00179.
NOTE: Use the image below to identify which baffle
to use for each size deck. Also note the orientation
of the baffle, though it will only mount one way
according to how the mounting holes line up.
Reinstall the deck as instructed in the tractor’s 3.
operator’s manual.
Install the chute tube extension onto the chute elbow by lining 8.
up the tabs and sliding the adapter over the chute elbow, as
in Fig. 4-10. Secure the chute adapter by stretching the chute
strap and hooking it onto the grass-catcher pin previously
installed.
