Why does my Cub Cadet Tank M60-KH Lawn Mower engine run erratically?
    • A
      ashley84Jul 30, 2025
An erratic engine in your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower can stem from several issues. Ensure the choke is off. Check the spark plug wires are securely connected. A blocked fuel line or stale fuel could be the culprit; clean the fuel line, use fresh gasoline, and replace the fuel filter. Also, a plugged vent in the gas cap, water or dirt in the fuel system, or a dirty air cleaner can cause this problem. Clear the vent or replace the cap if damaged. Drain the fuel tank and refill it with clean, fresh gasoline. Replace the air cleaner paper element or clean the foam pre-cleaner.

    • C
      Cody JamesAug 3, 2025
A rough idling engine in your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower could be due to fouled or faulty spark plugs, or a gap that is too wide; replace the spark plug(s) and set the plug gap. Another cause could be a dirty air cleaner; replace the air cleaner element and/or clean the pre-cleaner.

    • S
      scottaaronAug 16, 2025

What to do if my Cub Cadet Lawn Mower won't mulch grass?
    • D
      Dustin WilliamsAug 20, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower isn't mulching grass effectively, ensure the engine speed isn't too low by placing the throttle in the FAST (rabbit) position. Avoid mulching when the grass is wet. If the grass is excessively high, mow once at a high cutting height, then mow again at your desired height, or make a narrower cutting swath. A dull blade can also prevent mulching, so sharpen or replace it.

Why does my Cub Cadet Tank M60-KH engine hesitate at high RPM?
    • T
      Tammy BergAug 26, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine hesitates at high RPM, the spark plug gap may be too close. Remove the spark plug(s) and reset the gap.
