Getting to Know Your Control Panel

On/Off Button

Clock Display

Use to set hours and minutes for time of day, Auto On, and Auto Off time.

Strength Selector

Regular and Bold buttons let you choose the intensity of coffee flavor.

1-4 Cup Setting

Improves extraction, flavor and temperature when brewing fewer than 5 cups.

Self-Clean Setting

Indicates time to clean coffeemaker to remove calcium buildup.

Carafe Temperature Knob

Set the heater plate to Low(L), Medium(M), or High(H).

Function Knob

Controls programming and operational modes.

Programming Your Coffeemaker

Setting the Clock

Hold down Hour or Minute button until clock flashes to set desired time.

Setting the Auto On Time

Turn knob to PROG, then AUTO ON. Press ON/OFF button. Green light indicates AUTO ON.

Setting the Auto Off Time

Turn knob to AUTO OFF. Program shut-off time from 0 to 4 hours after brewing.

Before Brewing Your First Pot of Coffee

Making Coffee

Insert Charcoal Water Filter

Follow preparation and insertion directions on page 8.

Fill Water Reservoir

Open cover and pour desired amount of water using indicator window.

Set Coffee Preferences

Select 1-4 cup setting, brew strength, and carafe temperature.

Add Ground Coffee

Insert filter, add coffee grounds, adjust amount to taste.

Charcoal Water Filter

Inserting the Water Filter

Soak, place, and flush filter before inserting into water reservoir.

Cleaning and Maintenance

General Cleaning Procedures

Turn off, unplug, clean removable parts, wipe base and heating plate.

Decalcification Process

Remove calcium deposits using vinegar/water solution.

Notes on the Clean Function

Pressing Clean cancels other settings. Pressing On/Off exits clean mode.
