Overview

The Cuisinart PurePrecision™ Pour-Over Coffee Brewer (CPO-800) is an advanced coffee maker designed to deliver a superior brewing experience, mimicking the pour-over method for optimal flavor extraction. It incorporates several features to ensure a high-quality cup of coffee, from water filtration to precise temperature control and customizable strength settings.

Function Description:

The Cuisinart PurePrecision™ Pour-Over Coffee Brewer automates the pour-over brewing process, which is known for producing a clean, rich, and aromatic cup of coffee. The unit is designed to distribute water evenly over coffee grounds, allowing for a "blooming" phase where the grounds degas and release their full flavor potential before the main brewing cycle. It features a water reservoir with a water level indicator, a charcoal water filter to purify tap water, and a filter basket compatible with #4 paper filters, a gold tone filter, or a Cuisinart® Laser-Etched Stainless Steel Filter. The brewer offers customizable settings for coffee strength (Mild, Medium, Bold) and temperature (Hot, X-Hot), allowing users to tailor their coffee to personal preference. It also includes a programmable Auto On function for scheduled brewing and an Auto Off feature to conserve energy. The 8-cup glass carafe is designed for easy pouring and has markings for 2 to 8 cups. A Brew Pause™ feature allows users to pour a cup mid-brew, though it's noted that this may slightly weaken the flavor of the finished pot.

    • The area under the filter basket should be wiped with a damp cloth; no water should be poured into the unit once the filter basket is removed.
    • The base unit should be wiped with a clean, damp cloth; never immerse it in water or other liquids.
    • Avoid using scouring agents or abrasive materials on any part of the coffee brewer, especially the heating plate.
    • The inside of the water reservoir should not be dried with a cloth to prevent lint residue.
  • Charcoal Water Filter Maintenance:
    • The charcoal water filter should be soaked in cold tap water for 15 minutes before first use.
    • It should be flushed with cold tap water through the holes in the bottom of the compartment for 10 seconds.

    • The process involves filling the water reservoir with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water.
    • The cleaning cycle is initiated by pressing the MENU button five times to reach "CLEAN START" and then BREW/OFF.
    • After the cleaning cycle, the unit beeps five times and shuts off. If "CLEAN" still flashes, the procedure should be repeated with a fresh solution.
