  If your Cuisinart cooker isn't turning on, first ensure it's properly plugged into the outlet and that the power cord is fully inserted at both ends. If there was a power failure, wait for the power to resume. Also, make sure ingredients are in the cooking pot, and the pot is correctly placed in the unit; then allow a few minutes for the unit to cool down. If the issue persists, it may need repair.

  To prevent rice from drying out in your Cuisinart Kitchen Appliances appliance, ensure the steam release is properly inserted before cooking and that the lid is completely closed during cooking. Avoid keeping rice on the Keep Warm setting for more than 12 hours (2 hours for brown rice). If reheating rice, add additional liquid to the cooking pot.

  The Finish Time function on your Cuisinart Kitchen Appliances appliance may not have worked as expected if the Current Time was not set correctly, the Finish Time was not set correctly, or if you selected a program that does not allow Finish Time (Steaming, Risotto, Soup, or Slow Cook).
