What to do if my Culligan Water Filtration System is leaking at the filter housings?
    • T

If your Culligan Water Filtration System is leaking at the filter housings, the O-ring might not be seated properly. Remove the O-ring and inspect the O-ring groove for any debris. Clean the groove, lubricate the O-ring, and reseat it. Also, the O-ring might have nicks or scratches. If so, replace the O-ring.

Why does my Culligan Water Filtration System water taste bad?

If your Culligan Water Filtration System's water has an offensive taste or odor, it could be due to several reasons. The carbon post-filter might be depleted, in which case you should drain the storage tank, sanitize the system, and replace the carbon post-filter cartridge. Alternatively, the membrane might be depleted or fouled; if the Smartap® Quality Monitor reads yellow, or if a TDS test is unsatisfactory, drain the storage tank, sanitize the system, and replace the membrane. Lastly, check if sanitizer was not fully flushed out; if so, drain the storage tank and let it refill overnight.

What to do if my Culligan Water Filtration System is not producing enough water?
    • A
      Anthony SimsAug 26, 2025
If your Culligan Water Filtration System isn't producing enough water, several factors could be at play. First, check that the source water line pressure is adequate. Next, ensure the inlet water supply valve isn't blocked; clear any restrictions. Also, verify the storage tank valve is open. If the storage tank is depleted too quickly, consider increasing product water storage capacity or installing a membrane with a higher output rating. Furthermore, clogged pre-filter cartridges can restrict water flow, so replace them as needed. Lastly, a low storage tank air pressure charge can cause this issue; empty the water from the storage tank (keeping the product water faucet open) and adjust the pressure to 55 kPa (8 psig).

What to do if my Culligan Water Filtration System is leaking at a fitting?
    • C
      Christy MatthewsAug 28, 2025
If you notice a leak at a fitting in your Culligan Water Filtration System, it might be because the tubing isn't fully inserted into the fitting; push it in past the O-ring seal. Another cause might be a defective tube; either cut out the damaged section or replace the entire tube. Finally, check if the tubing is bent too tightly near the fitting; reroute it to reduce the bend.

What to do if my Culligan Water Filtration System is leaking from the air gap in the faucet?
    • D
      Daniel MorrisAug 31, 2025
If your Culligan Water Filtration System is leaking from the air gap in the faucet, it could be due to a restricted drain tube; try to clear the restriction. It may also be caused by incorrectly routed tubing from the air gap to the drain. Make sure to re-route the tubing so it runs vertically without sharp bends or loops.
