  If you notice iron bleed-through or staining with your Culligan Water Filtration System, it could be due to several reasons. The drain line flow control might be plugged and needs cleaning or replacement. There might be insufficient water supply from the well, so check for the minimum flow and pressure requirements of the system. The aeration tank inlet diffuser or pick-up tube could be plugged, requiring cleaning of the aeration assembly and shock treatment of the water supply with chlorine. Finally, the media bed might be fouled, necessitating rebedding of the filter and correction of the cause of fouling.

  If you notice blue-green staining with your Culligan Water Filtration System, it could be due to a corrosive water condition in the copper distribution piping system, and a Cullneu® filter may be required to elevate the pH. Consult the factory. In rare cases, highly aerated water combined with a specific water supply can create a slightly corrosive condition. Install a polyphosphate cartridge filter after the Iron-Cleer Filter System to protect the distribution piping.
