    • The light cannot be charged if your PC is in a sleep state.
    • A flashing power button indicates a charging error; reinsert the USB cable.
    • The battery charges to about 80% after approximately 4 hours for the headlight and 2 hours for the tail light.
    • Charging and lighting times are approximate and vary by environmental and user conditions.
    • Only use the supplied cable (or other accessories) to charge Cycle Torch bike lights.

Switching Lighting Modes:

Shark 500 Headlight:

  • Operation Modes: High, Medium, Low, Flash.
  • Switching: A short press of the power button turns the light on in High mode. Each subsequent short press cycles through the modes in the order: High -> Medium -> Low -> Flash.
  • Turning Off: Press and hold the button for one to three seconds.

Bolt Tail Light:

  • Operation Modes: High, Slow flashing, Quick flashing, Pulse, Off.
  • Switching: The initial two short presses (or single press for earlier models) of the power button turn the light on in High mode. Each subsequent short press cycles through the modes in the order: High -> Slow flashing -> Quick flashing -> Pulse -> Off.
  • Turning Off: Press and hold the power button to shut down the Tail Bolt.

Battery Level Check (Shark 500 Headlight):

  • When the light is turned off, press the button for 3 seconds and release. The light will flash 1 to 10 times, indicating the remaining battery level (10 flashes = 100% charge, 9 flashes = 90%, 8 flashes = 80%, etc.).

Low Battery Level:

  • Shark 500 Headlight: The power button light will glow red when the battery level is low. The light will automatically turn off when the battery level is too low to protect the battery from damage. It is recommended to turn off the light when the button glows red or within 5 minutes of it glowing red.
  • Bolt Tail Light: The Tail Bolt will automatically turn off when the battery level is too low to protect the battery from damage. It is not recommended to turn on the lights after the programmed shutdown.

Maintenance Features:

Battery Degradation Prevention:

  • Do not wait until the light goes completely out, as this significantly reduces the number of charge cycles and can render the battery unusable.
  • Charge your bike light every 2-3 months when stored or not in use to prevent battery degradation. It is highly recommended to recharge the Tail Bolt periodically.

Safety Precautions:

  • Never look directly into the bike light.
  • Avoid directing the light beam into the eyes of another person.
  • Do not place it within children's reach.
  • Before your trip, ensure the light is firmly mounted to the handlebar, lights up, and is not blocked by baggage.
  • The product is water-resistant for normal daily use and can be used in the rain, but do not intentionally submerge it in water.
  • Failure to follow these cautions may expose you to risks, cause damage to the light system, and void the warranty.
  • A lighting system enhances safety and visibility but is not a substitute for common sense. Ride within your capability and consider the riding environment.
