Usage Features
The coffee maker offers a range of features for a customizable brewing experience:
Control Panel:
The control panel includes an ON/OFF button, single-cup (grind) button, double-cup (grind) button, single-cup (coffee) button, double-cup (coffee) button, program button, pressure gauge, CLEAN/DESCALE indicator, and STEAM/HOT WATER indicator.
Preheating and Standby:
Upon pressing the ON/OFF button, the machine enters a preheating mode, indicated by the ON/OFF button light flashing. Once preheating is complete, it enters standby mode, with the CLEAN/DESCALE and STEAM/HOT WATER indicators lighting solidly.
Brewing Coffee:
- Single-cup Coffee: In standby mode, install a single-cup filter into the portafilter, add about 13g of coffee powder, tamp it with approximately 12.5kg force, and lock the portafilter into the bracket. Place a cup on the drip plate and press the single-cup (coffee) button. The machine will brew about 30ml of coffee and stop automatically.
- Double-cup Coffee: Similar to single-cup, but use a double-cup filter, about 19g of coffee powder, and press the double-cup (coffee) button. The machine will brew about 60ml of coffee.
- Customized Coffee Dose: Users can adjust the coffee dose by holding the single-cup or double-cup button until the desired amount is reached, then releasing the button. The machine will record this setting for future use (max 125ml for single-cup, 250ml for double-cup).
Hot Water Function:
Turn the steam/hot water knob to the hot water position. The machine will dispense hot water (190-240ml). The steam/hot water indicator will flash. Remember to turn the knob back to the twelve o'clock position after use to avoid an alarm.
Steam Function (Milk Frothing):
Turn the steam/hot water knob to the steam position. The machine enters steam mode, and the steam/hot water indicator will flash. For good frothing, allow steam to run for 3-5 seconds, then immerse the steam tube into milk and turn the knob to the steam indicator. The maximum frothing time is 5 minutes. Always return the knob to the twelve o'clock position after frothing.
Integrated Grinder:
- Installation: Ensure the cutter head is tightened clockwise, then align and press down the bean box, rotating it clockwise to lock it into the machine.
- Grind Adjustment: The bean box has markings from 0 to 30 for coffee coarseness (0 being fine, 30 being coarse). Align the desired setting with the mark on the top cover.
- Grinding Coffee: Place the portafilter with the appropriate filter (single or double-cup) into the powder receiving bracket. Press the single-cup (grind) or double-cup (grind) button. The grinder will run automatically for a set time (default 9 seconds for single-cup, 14 seconds for double-cup) to produce approximately 13g or 19g of powder, respectively.
- Customized Grinding Time: Users can adjust the grinding time by holding the single-cup (grind) or double-cup (grind) button until the desired amount of powder is dispensed, then releasing. The machine will record this setting (adjustable between 6-13 seconds for single-cup, 10-18 seconds for double-cup).
- Grinder Protection: The grinder has a protection mechanism; if it runs continuously for 3 minutes with less than 6 minutes rest, its use will be limited.
Temperature Customization:
Hold the program button for 3 seconds to enter temperature setting mode. Use the single-cup (grind) and double-cup (grind) buttons to cycle through temperatures (90°C, 92°C, 94°C, 96°C). Press the program button again to save and exit.
Sleep Mode:
The machine automatically enters sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. It can be reactivated by pressing any button or turning the knob.
Factory Reset:
- Coffee Dose: In standby mode, simultaneously hold the single-cup or double-cup button and the program button until a beep is heard.
