Why can't I access the internet with my D-Link Modem?

If you cannot access the Internet or e-mail service with your D-Link Modem, check all connections to ensure the cable TV line and either the USB or Ethernet cable are securely connected. Also, verify the AC power adapter is properly connected to both the device and the power source. Check the LED indicators: for Ethernet, Power, Link, and Status should be steadily lit; for USB, Power and Status. Contact your cable service operator to confirm your account is current and you have two-way service. The issue could also be with your NIC, so consult its documentation. Finally, ensure your computer's TCP/IP configuration matches the settings provided by your cable service operator.
