ENGINE
I M P O R TANT :
• When assembling the rocker arm assembly, locate
groove of rocker arm shaft on stud bolt.
(1) Rocker Arm Shaft (3) Rocker Arm Bracket
(2) Rocker Arm (4) Screw
( D )Cylinder Head
1. Remove the screw in the specified sequence
shown in the figure and remove the cylinder head
( 1 ) head gasket(2) .
2. Remove the water flange(3) .
3. Take out the tapets from the cylinder block.
NOTE :
• Mark the cylinder number to the tappets to prevent
i n t e r c h a n g i n g .
(When reassembling)
•Apply liquid gasket(Three bond 1215 or equivalent)
on the both sides of water flange gasket.
•Replace the head gasket with new one and place
on the cylinder block, be careful of its direction and
s i d e .
•When using head gasket shim, assemble the shim
first on the cylinder head.
•Before installing the tappets apply engine oil around
t h e m .

I M P O RTANT :
• Apply oil to the thread of screws and tighten in
several steps and the specified sequence shown in
the figure to the specified torque.
• Check the torque after 30 minutes operation of the
assembled engine, and adjust valve clearance.
4.9 to 5.7 kgf•m

10.5 to 11.0kgf• m
