Power Train Disassembly & Assembly
5. Install brake adjuster (12) and bolt (11) that holds
it. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 72 L 5 NIm (55 L
4 lbIft). See Brake Adjuster Installation in Testing
And Adjusting for further adjustments.
6. Install wheel cylinder (10) and bolts (9). Tighten
the bolts to a torque of 15 L 2 NIm (11 L 1 lbIft).
7. Install plungers (8). Connect brake lines (7), and
tighten the nuts to a torque of 14 L 2 NIm
(10 L 1 lbIft).
8. Install wheel cylinder cover (5) and bolts (6).
9. Install the brake shoes and brake retainer springs
(4).
10. Install brake return springs (1), (2) and (3) with a
suitable brake spring tool.
11. Install the brake drums on B20/25/30S
models. Install the drive wheels.
