Usage Features

  • Installation: The oven requires a steady, flat surface for placement, with adequate clearance around air vents (minimum 100mm above the top surface). It should be kept away from radio and TV sets to prevent interference, and away from heating appliances and water taps. It must be properly earthed.
  • Clock Setting: The oven features a digital clock with both 12-hour and 24-hour systems. Users can set the hour and minute using the dial knob.
  • Weight Defrosting: This feature allows for easy defrosting of food by weight, eliminating the need to guess defrosting time. The minimum weight is 200g, and the maximum is 3,000g. The oven beeps during the cycle to signal when food needs to be turned or rearranged.
  • Time Defrosting: For time-based defrosting, the automatic cycle alternates between defrost and stand times. The maximum defrosting time is 59 minutes and 00 seconds.
  • Cooking in One Stage: Users can set a desired power level (or cook at full power if omitted) and cooking time (up to 59 minutes and 00 seconds) for single-stage cooking. Lower power levels are recommended for delicate foods like cheese, milk, and slow cooking of meats.
  • Grill Cooking: This function allows for quick browning of food. The heating element is at the top of the oven. No pre-heating is required. Cooking time can be set up to 30 minutes.
  • Combi Cooking: This mode combines heater and microwave cooking simultaneously to accelerate the cooking process. Cooking time can be set up to 59 minutes and 00 seconds.
  • Easy Cooking: This feature allows for reheating at 100% power for 30 seconds with a single button press. Reheating time can be extended up to 5 minutes by repeatedly pressing the Easy cook button in 30-second increments.
  • Auto Cook: This function provides pre-programmed settings for common foods such as Dinner Plate, Soup, Beverage, and Fresh Vegetable. Users select the food type and adjust the quantity using the dial knob.
  • Child Safety Lock: To prevent unintended operation, the child safety lock can be activated by pressing and holding the Stop/Clear button for 3 seconds. "LOC" will be displayed when active.
  • Stopping Operation: The oven can be stopped during operation by pressing the Stop/Clear button or by opening the door. Cooking can be resumed by pressing Start (if stopped by button) or by closing the door and pressing Start (if stopped by opening door).
  • Cooking Utensils: The manual provides guidance on suitable utensils, emphasizing the use of glass or ceramic heat-proof dishes and cautioning against metal trim, certain plastics (polyethylene, melamine, phenol), and sealed containers. Aluminum foil should only be used in small pieces for shielding and kept at least 2.5cm from oven walls.

Maintenance Features

  • General Cleaning: The waveguide cover should be kept clean at all times. The oven interior should be wiped with a soft damp cloth after each use to prevent grease or fat accumulation, which could lead to overheating or fire.
  • Door and Seals: It is crucial not to tamper with safety interlocks. The sealing surfaces should be wiped frequently with a mild detergent, rinsed, and dried. Abrasive powders or pads should not be used.
  • Damage Inspection: Regularly inspect the oven for any damage to the door (bent), hinges and latches (broken or loosened), or door seals and sealing surfaces. If any damage is observed, the oven should not be operated until repaired by a trained service technician.
  • Service: The oven should only be adjusted or repaired by a properly trained service technician. A checklist is provided for troubleshooting common issues before calling for service, such as checking the power cord, door closure, cooking time settings, and circuit breakers. Users are explicitly warned not to attempt to service the oven themselves.
